Jones was selected in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots as the 21st pick in the draft, the highest selection for a Syracuse player in a decade. In a stellar rookie season, Jones made 14 appearances (13 starts) and finished with 45 tackles, 6 sacks, 5 passes defended and 3 forced fumbles. He started in all 16 appearances in the 2013 season and produced 42 tackles with 11.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble and a return fumble recovery for a touchdown.
In a stellar 2014 season in which he won Super Bowl XLIX with the Patriots, Chandler Jones recorded 43 tackles and 6 sacks in 10 appearances. He appeared in 15 games in 2015 recording 44 tackles, a team-leading 12.5 sack as well as the first interception of his career, a performance for which he was named to his first Pro Bowl.
In March 2016, the New England Patriots traded Chandler Jones to the Arizona Cardinals in a trade for which they got Jonathan Cooper and a second-round draft pick in 2016. In his first season (2016) with the Cardinals, Jones started all 16 games and recorded 49 tackles, 11 sacks, three passes defended and four forced fumbles. He also started in all 16 of 2017 and finished the season with 59 tackles, a league-leading 17.0 sack and three passes defended. He earned his 2nd Pro Bowl selection as well as a first-team All-Pro selection in 2017.
After playing outside linebacker in his first 2 seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, Chandler Jones was moved to the end defense position ahead of the 2018 season.

Chandler Jones’ father, Arthur Jones Jr., is a New York-based clergyman. His mother Camille was a caregiver during his lifetime. She died in June 2017 due to complications from diabetes.
