As much as she loves her job at CNN, her personal life with family is no less for her. Clarissa Ward, a senior international correspondent for CNN, believes in living a perfectly happy and normal family life despite having a busy schedule to look after. 

Clarissa is pretty known for her remarkable contribution to CNN network as a news correspondent who has bagged several awards with her work.

Clarissa Ward, the American television presenter, who is more focused on living an ordinary life, was born on 30 January in 1980.

The 38-year-old journalist has distinguished herself from other reporters through her in-depth and high-risk reporting from the middle of the war zone in Syria during its civil war.

Moreover, she has reported during terror attacks in Paris in November 2015 along with subsequent terrorist attacks in Brussels and Nice in 2016 and Manchester in 2017. Besides that, she also covered earthquake and tsunami in Japan in 2011

Before joining CNN, Clarissa served as a foreign correspondent for four years in CBS News. She was also a contributor for 60 Minutes and served as a fill-in anchor on CBS This Morning. Before CBS News, Clarissa also worked for ABC News.

She has multiple awards on her plate through her work. She recently won David Kaplan Award from the Overseas Press Club for 'Undercover in Syria,' and a Peabody Award for the same series. 

Moreover, she grabbed two George Foster Peabody Awards and an Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia Award. Adding to it, she was able to receive four Emmy Awards; two Edward R. Murrow Awards for distinguished journalism along with honors from the Radio and Television Correspondents' Association.

Likewise, she also received the prestigious Excellence in International Reporting Award from the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) for her work in war reporting in hotspots like Iraq and Syria.

Clarissa Is Happily Married & Loves Her 'Mom' Life 

Apart from her immersed work schedule, Clarissa still manages her time for her family of three. 

Clarissa, who at times requires being overseas for reporting, has finally settled with her husband Philipp von Bernstorff, whom she met at a dinner party in Moscow in 2007.

The duo got married back in November of 2016 in a simple ceremony at Chelsea Old Town hall. Later, they organized a lunch at their Notting Hill home, which included 46 guests.

Eventually, the couple opted to start a family and Clarissa got pregnant. Meanwhile, Clarissa's devotion towards her work came forth as, despite her late pregnancy period, Ward reported from places like Yemen and Bangladesh.

But she took proper care of herself and gave birth to a healthy baby boy on 2nd March at 12:14 BST. The couple named their firstborn 'Ezra Albrecht Nikolas Nour von Bernstorff.' Philipp, who is a German Count played much of the part in keeping the child's name. 

In the meantime, Clarissa, who is currently cherishing her family life, has a ravishing career to look upon that is reaching for new heights with every passing day.

With her maternity leave coming to a close, Clarissa has got a new road ahead of her as CNN president, Jeff Zucker has made her step up her game with the role of Chief International Correspondent.

The big news was announced on 11 July 2018 while Clarissa will be succeeding Christiane Amanpour in the role who was promoted to Chief International Anchor. 

Clarissa will possibly be stepping on departing plane more often than she did into the network's office. She didn't waste a moment of time to share the good news on her Instagram showing her overwhelming excitement. 

And while her emotions are over the top with the announcement, Clarissa won't be able to enjoy a long amount of time with her baby. But as a mom, there's no doubt that she'll be as lively as ever after returning home from a tiring day to her loving family.
