CM Punk May Find New Pro Wrestling Home Outside WWE
CM Punk has been absent from the professional wrestling scene since his departure from AEW. That being said, he continues to be a hot topic of rumors and speculations. Despite an exclusive report from Ringside News stating that there is no interest in CM Punk within the wrestling industry and comparing the impact to AEW as similar to Vince Russo’s effect on WCW, fans persist in interpreting signs of his potential return. WWE isn’t the only game in town, and NJPW is also apparently in the conversation
In a recent Q&A behind Fightful’s paywall, Sean Sapp addressed the situation, shedding light on an interesting perspective. Apparently, Triple H has made internal comments regarding fans’ tendency to perceive CM Punk teases that do not actually exist.
It was stressed during the Q&A that there is an incredibly low chance that AEW will have CM Punk back. He is not The Devil, and he has seemingly burned his bridges with Tony Khan’s company.
The Q&A also addressed the idea of CM Punk going to TNA or NJPW. It was then said that there is seemingly an open door for Punk with both companies.
TNA has communicated their interest in CM Punk, and have enjoyed having him at their shows. Yes, he could absolutely go there if he chooses.
Based on Rocky Romero’s answer to Fightful weeks ago, it would appear the door is open to NJPW as well. Romero said that he and NJPW would likely give Tony Khan a heads up about it, and they think it would be okay.
Ace Steel is working for TNA Wrestling now, and that could be very attractive point for CM Punk. The Second City Savior was also spotted backstage at a recent Impact Wrestling event.
Ringside News exclusively reported that WWE’s stance on CM Punk’s return remains unchanged, despite fan chants at events. Regardless, fans, especially those in Chicago for Survivor Series, might continue to chant his name during shows. As for the Survivor Series event itself, it remains to be seen how Triple H and WWE handle any potential CM Punk teases.
The question of CM Punk’s possible WWE return remains a topic of interest among fans, and only time will tell if such a return ever materializes. Only time will tell what happens in this situation, but CM Punk may wrestle again outside WWE.
What’s your take on CM Punk going to TNA or NJPW? Which company should he go with? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
