Hailie Deegan, who is among the few female drivers in NASCAR, drives for David Gilliland Racing in the Camping World Truck Series and she was voted by the fans to be the most popular driver of 2021season. But her absence from last week’s Freedom 500 at Bradenton’s (Florida) DeSoto Speedway made headlines all around.

Now the rising NASCAR star has come forth revealing why she had to skip the Freedom 500 last weekend. Hailie Deegan revealed that she and her boyfriend  Chase Cabre has been dealing with the individual who has been threatening to kill chase.

Hailie Deegan revealed that her boyfriend has been receiving death threats from her stalker as she quoted the alleged individual saying “His official words were, not that he’s going to kill Chase, but that he’s going to come … and be the last thing Chase ever sees,“.

The history behind the constant death threats to Hailie Deegan’s Boyfriend

Hailie Deegan said that the situation came to light when the suspected stalker wrote an “eight-page, handwritten letter” to her NASCAR Truck Series Racing team David Gilliland Racing in which he claimed that they were dating for multiple months.

Hailie Deegan said she was scared after the letter saying “It kind of scared me a little bit because I’d dealt with stalker situations before,”. She went on to say that she later did a background check on him and “figured out that he was getting catfished by a fake Hailie Deegan account,”.

She went on to say in the video that the individuals who engage in catfishing  “say anything they have to get money out of that person,” and said that the fake account had accused her boyfriend of holding her “hostage,” beating her and physically abusing her. Which ended up in a situation where The guy in question “gets wrapped up in this whole deal believing Chase beats” her, which is not the case.

How Hailie Deegan initially reacted to the threats

She revealed that though they ignored such action in the initial stages it got worse as the individual started tagging her “in pictures of guns and knives, literally by the hour … this guy is very persistent on social media … maybe over 100 times a day,” which made her worry and to call the authorities for help.

She went on to say that she “ went to the extent of messaging him, literally just trying to break down the situation,” saying “Dude, you’re getting catfished. This isn’t me, my boyfriend does not beat me. We literally do everything together — I’m on TV all the time. I’m just explaining the whole thing, trying to break it down to him, and he seemed like he was accepting it at first,“.

But the individuals were not backing down forcing her to contact FBI agents, and NASCAR security and filed multiple police reports on the incident.

Hailie Deegan’s Boyfriend Chase Cabre’s message to the stalker

Hailie Deegan’s Boyfriend Chase Cabre asked the alleged stalker to stop threatening him as every allegation that has been made by him is fraud and the constant bad interaction is not healthy for both parties. He added that everything in their life has been halted by it and the young couple is clueless about what to do in the future.

“If you are watching this video right now … just please stop. I’m not threatening, I’m doing anything … I’m just saying, it’s over. It’s not real. Just leave it alone,” Chase Cabre said.

“It’s become a nuisance in our life because it’s put everything on a halt. We don’t really know what to do from here,” Chase Cabre added.
