How Hand-Carved Candles Are Made

The making of hand-carved candles is extremely beautiful to watch. 

The candles are dipped into liquid wax to build up layers of colour. The melted wax temperature is around 65-71C (150-160F) which then makes it easier to shape the candle.

The candle is eventually covered with varnish and left to dry.
