Sean Bowman Motorcycle Accident, Death – On Friday morning, a tragic incident unfolded in which a 28-year-old man from Hanson, identified as Sean Bowman, lost his life, and his passenger, Colleen Currie, 29, from Whitman, sustained injuries after their minivan collided with a real estate office on Temple Street and subsequently caught fire. The accident transpired at 6:23 a.m., drawing the prompt response of law enforcement and fire officials.
Whitman police Sgt. Andrew Stafford acted heroically, being one of the first to arrive at the scene. Using a fire extinguisher, he valiantly battled the flames to protect Colleen Currie until Whitman rescue personnel arrived. Whitman Fire Chief Tim Grenno commended Sgt. Stafford’s remarkable efforts in holding off the fire and preventing further harm to the passenger.
Tragically, Sean Bowman was found in cardiac arrest when firefighters were able to extract him from the engulfed vehicle. Despite their best efforts, he could not be revived and was subsequently pronounced dead upon arrival at Brockton Signature Healthcare Hospital. The building that bore the brunt of this devastating accident housed Rosen Realty. Colleen Currie, while injured, was fortunate to be discharged from the emergency room on the same day and did not require further hospitalization.
